OUGD406 - Brief 03 - Initial Research

The brief:
Show off 36 student's individuality with one look and next to no production costs.
The Solution:
We represented each student with an 'X', the contents of which they chose. The 'X' symbolised the year (2010) and the location on the 10th storey of DMU's Fletcher Tower. The outcome was a beautifully varied poster set, mail campaign & website

I also looked at various branding for exhibitions held in universities, in particular, graphic design degree shows. I wanted to look to these for inspiration as we were obviously branding for a very specific type of graphic design exhibition. The work I came across was strong and inspirational. I particularly liked the use of colour married with type in a lot of the work I found through my research. It made me realize how important this will be for our own designs for this brief.
